National Institute of Technology (NIT), Calicut an Institute of National Importance invites applications from Indian nationals, possessing excellent academic background, commitment to quality teaching and potential for carrying out outstanding research, for faculty positions at the level of Professor, Assistant Professor and Lecturer in following disciplines :

• Architecture, Bio-Technology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and
  Communication Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Management, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, English

Qualifications : Ph.D. degree with an excellent academic record with First Class or equivalent at the Master’s and Bachelor’s level in appropriate branch and evidence of ability to pursue independent research. Candidates without Ph.D. degree, but possessing first class Master’s degree in Engineering/ Architecture/ Planning / Management will be considered only as Lecturer on contract in Engineering / Architecture/ Management stream. Ph.D. is compulsory for Mathematics, Management, Science and Humanities subjects. The Candidates who are expected to complete their Ph. D degree within one year will be considered for engagement as Lecturer in Mathematics, Management, Science and Humanities streams, but will be placed on contract till Ph. D. degree is awarded. A first class (60% marks) or equivalent grade (6.5/10) is necessary at Post Graduate Level and at Bachelor’s level in all cases.

Age: Professor-45 years, Assistant Professor-40 years and Lecturer should be below 35 years of age.

Scale of Pay :

• Professor: Rs.16400-450-20900-500-22400/-
• Assistant Professor: Rs.12000-420-18300/-
• Lecturer: Rs. 8000-275-13500/-
